T he snail’s displeasure any kind of intrusion into its extremely private life is also portrayed in the poem. It signifies the poet’s embracing of a loner’s life and withdrawal from the society.

The sna il is usually a tiny, insignificant creature. They sticks very close to the grass, leaf, fruit or wall without any fear of falling down. The snail creeps through its passage in an almost imperceptible movement carrying the shell altogether.
