Read the following poem

THE SNAIL
by William Cowper

1st Stanza
To grass, or leaf, or fruit, or wall
ঘাস, বা পাতা, বা ফল, বা প্রাচীর
The snail sticks close, nor fears to fall
শামুক কাছাকাছি লেগে থাকে, পড়ে যাওয়ার ভয়  না করে
As if he grew there, house and all,
বাড়ি এবং সবকিছু নিয়ে যেন সে সেখানেই বেড়ে উঠেছে
Together.
একসাথে।

2nd Stanza
Within that house secure he hides
সেই বাড়ির মধ্যে সে নিরাপদে লুকিয়ে পড়ে
When danger imminent betides
যখন আসন্ন বিপদ সংঘটিত হতে চলেছে  
Of storm, or other harm besides
ঝড়ের, বা অন্য কোনো ক্ষতি ছাড়া
Of weather.
আবহাওয়ার।

3rd Stanza
Give but his horns the slightest touch,
তার শুঁড়েতে সামান্য হালকা স্পর্শ দাও,
His self-collecting power’s is such,
তার নিজেকে গুটিয়ে ফেলার ক্ষমতা এতটাই
He shrinks into his house with much
সে ভীষণ সঙ্কুচিত হয়ে যায় তার বাড়িতে
Displeasure.
বিরক্তিতে।

4th Stanza
Where’er he dwells, he dwells alone,
সে যেখানেই থাকে, একাই থাকে
Except himself has chatells none,
নিজেকে ছাড়া তার ব্যক্তিগত জিনিসপত্র কিছুই  নেই
Well satisfied to be his own
বেশ সন্তুষ্ট নিজেই নিজের
Whole treasure.
পুরো সম্পদ হয়ে।
