RULES FOR REPORT WRITING:

Number 1: It should be accurate and well clear.
নম্বর 1: প্রতিবেদনের লেখা সঠিক এবং পরিষ্কার পরিছন্ন হতে হবে।
Number 2: Must have a Proper heading on the basis of question.
নম্বর 2: প্রশ্নের ভিত্তিতে একটি সঠিক শিরোনাম থাকতে হবে।
Number 3: When you will write a report, you have to think that you are a reporter, so that proper answer will come.
নম্বর 3: তোমরা যখন  রিপোর্ট লিখবে, তোমদের ভাবতে হবে তোমরা প্রত্যেকে  একজন রিপোর্টার, যাতে সঠিক উত্তর আসবে।
Number 4: Report is usually written in the past tense and passive voice is mostly used, but on the basis of situation sometime present or future tense can be used.
নম্বর  4: প্রতিবেদন সাধারণত Past Tense-এ  লেখা হয়  এবং অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে প্যাসিভ ভয়েস ব্যবহার করা হয়।, তবে পরিস্থিতির ভিত্তিতে কিছু সময় বর্তমান বা ভবিষ্যত কাল ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে।
Number 5. You have to keep your  focus on the the outline / hints and the world limit given in the question paper.
নম্বর ৫. তোমাদের মনোযোগ প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নপত্রেরর রূপরেখা বা ইঙ্গিত  এবং  WORD LIMIT উপর  রাখতে  হবে।
Number 6. The last but not the least, use  proper format for report writing. Two marks are awarded for proper format for report writing. But no mark is awarded for blank format.

Q1. Write a newspaper report in about 120 words using the following hints:

[Hints: place- Bahanaga in Balasore district of Odisha –  date 02 June – three trains 12841 Coromandel Express, goods train and 12864 Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express  collided near Bahanaga Bazaar – a large number of were killed and injured –  rescue by local people. Injured  were transferred to local hospitals – dead bodies preserved in a nearby high school – 3units of NDRF, 4 units of ODRAF, 50 buses, 200 ambulances were routed to to the train  crash site for rescue operation – the railway minister, Prime Minister and Chief Minister of West Bengal are likely to visit the crash site soon]

Balasore, 02 June, 2023: A large number  of people were suspected to be  killed and injured  in a horrified train crash when three train collided at around 7 pm  yesterday near Bahanaga Bazar railway station  in  Balasore district of Odisha.

The 12841 Coromandel Express entered the passing loop at full speed near Bahanaga Bazar railway station and collided with a goods train. Due to the high speed of the Coromandel Express, its 21 coaches derailed and three of those collided with the oncoming 12864 Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express on the adjacent track. 

The local people rushed to the crash site immediately and they were carrying out rescuing the train passengers. Three units of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), four units of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), more than 200 ambulances and 50 buses were sent to the railway crash site for carrying out rescue operation.   Helplines had been installed at the crash site by the railway for public queries.

The. Cause of the railway  crash was not yet known. A change in electronic interlocking system or an error in electronic signals, might  be the cause the train crash. 

According to the latest report,  the rescue teams had not yet reached the accident site. The rescue work was being carried on by the local people. The Railway Minister Sri Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Prime Minister of India and the Chief Minister of West are likely to visit the train crash site soon.

Balasore, 02 June, 2023: At least 292 people were killed and  1175 were injured in a horrified three train collision at around 7 pm  on 02 June, 2023  near Bahanaga Bazar railway station  in  Balasore district of Odisha.

The Coromandel Express entered the passing loop at full speed near Bahanaga Bazar railway station and collided with a goods train. Due to the high speed of the Coromandel Express, its 21 coaches derailed and three of those collided with the oncoming  Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express on the adjacent track. It was India’s deadliest railway crash since the Firozabad rail collision in 1995.

Three units of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), four units of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), more than 200 ambulances and 50 buses were involved  at the crash site for carrying out rescue operation. The injured persons were admitted to the nearby hospitals and dead bodies were transferred to a nearby high school. The Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the railway crash  site and supervised the rescue work.

A change in electronic interlocking or an error in electronic signals, might  be the cause the train crash. Vaishnaw said that the railway board had recommended a CBI probe to find the cause of train crash. The Prime Minister of India and the Chief Minister of West Bengal also visited the railway crash site.

The Railways Board announced to pay compensation of ₹10 lakh to families of the deceased, ₹2 lakh to the severely injured and ₹50,000 to those with minor injuries. Further, an ex gratia compensation of ₹2 lakh to the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 to the injured would be given from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). The West Bengal Chief Minister announced to pay compensation of ₹5 lakh to the families of the passengers from West Bengal who had been killed, ₹1 lakh  to those who had been critically injured, and ₹50,000 to those with minor injuries.

According to the latest report, the rescue operation and repairing work were  going on in full swing.

It was the India’s deadliest railway crash since the Firozabad rail collision in 1995. It was also the deadliest rail disaster worldwide since the 2004 Sri Lanka tsunami train wreck. Three units of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), four units of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), more than 200 ambulances and 50 buses were involved for carrying out rescue operation. The injured persons were admitted to the nearby hospitals and dead bodies were transferred to a nearby high school. The Railway Minister Sri Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the crash  site on 04 June, 2023 and supervised the rescue work. A change in electronic interlocking or an error in electronic signals might be the cause of the crash. The railway board had recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe cause of the train crash. The Prime minister of India and the chief minister of West Bengal visited the railway crash site. The Railways announced to pay compensation of ₹10 lakh to families of the deceased, ₹2 lakh to the severely injured and ₹50,000 to those with minor injuries. West Bengal Chief Minister announced to pay ₹5 lakh in compensation to families of passengers from West Bengal who had been killed, ₹1 lakh  to those who been critically injured, and ₹50,000 to those with minor injuries. Train services of  South Eastern Railway totally broke down and restricted numbers of trains were permitted to run from  14th June to 3oth June, 2023.
